V-LED 92 led 3157 turnsignal/parklamp 2005 F150 problems

:confused:I ordered the amber 92led 3157 bulbs for my turnsignal/parklamps and I am running into problems.

I did install the new 5pin flasher and it does not hyperflash. HOWEVER; when I turn on the park lamps it blows a fuse and the parklamps do not turn on, but I can use the turn signals normally. Its just blowing my fuse #6.

What should I do? Do I need 6ohm resistors even though i put a 5pin flasher? I called bill at V-leds and he said tech support is closed and he doesnt know why its blowing the fuse, so ithought id ask here

thank you

Something is grounding. If the problem didn't persist when you had regular bulbs, put them back in and see if fuse #6 blows again.

No when I put the stock bulbs back in it doesnt blow the fuse. Its weird, with the blown fuse I can still use blinkers and emergency lights...

Not sure what to do.

What size is fuse #6? What does #6 all run? Could it be the 184 led's are pulling to much power?

leds draw less power than halogen bulbs, sounds like a faulty LED bulb that could possibly be causing a short somewhere if the stockers dont pop the fuse

fuse #6 is 15amps and it controls instrument cluster as well as park lamps. I tried a 25amp fuse but it blew that too.

Also I wanted to add that I also have another 3157 LED, its a cheap one from china that cost like $2 but It does the same thing, when I put it in it blows that fuse #6 but I can use turn signal and emergency lights. Im not sure whats going on here.

Put one stock bulb back in on one side, and try both leds on the other side. This will tell you if one of the leds are bad. The only other thing I can think of is you got the wrong type of leds (the leads at base of leds are wrong). Do you have a link to exactly what you got?

Is it possibly a problem with the flasher?

this is what I have, I can go try 1 bulb at a time in each different socket, I just need to go buy some fuses right now.

I hope its not the flasher, because it was already $20

I would e-mail them they gave me a quick response. Tech@V-LEDS.com

Try this test. Video at bottom of linked page. You might have got the wrong bulbs. Why didn't you go with the white/amber switchbacks?

you mean check for CK or Standard?? Arent these trucks the standards? My stock halogens when I look at them they have 4 metal pieces on the bulb, the CK only have 3.

These bulbs I have are the standards and I double checked.

I didnt want switchbacks lol whats the problem with that?

Im going down to autozone and going to pick up load resistors and see if that does it. I cant stand waiting lol
