2005 F150 hi to low

Have been doing many searches and can't seem to find anything on this topic. I have 05 F150 FX4 supercab. LIGHTS SUCK !! Before this I had the F150 harley supercrew, no problems, before that F350 supercab 4X4, before that an F250 supercrew 4x4 full bed, before that a plain f150. Basically, I have always had a Ford truck. This 2005 lighting issue is bugging the @#!$ out of me. I had HID installed to help with the issue. The amount of light I am getting is kickass but here is the problem. I have to drive in high beam mode. Even before the change to HID, which I thought would rectify it, my hi beams point to the ground. WTF right ??!! Or is this a model specific thing? Never had hi beams go downward when engaged on ANY vehicle. Anyway, it was purchased used. I see silicone around housing so I am going to assume the previous owner took them apart. Does anyone know of any alteration that would require taking them apart? Could that be why my lights seem to be backwards? Anyway to just swap wires to make hi-low work properly?

Any help would be appreciated, I am currently driving in HI beam since the HID upgrade because my LOWs piss people off. Works fine but I can't use my fogs and the stupid hi beam dash light gets annoying.

remove the HIDs, they are making things worse. can you post pictures of your headlamp? and check the wiring to see if anything was messed with. it sounds like the previous owner may have swapped the wires.

That's exactly what I am thinking about wiring. Will try to get photos up. I was reading a thread where someone was told to post photos online then HTML them in here? Going to try via facebook.
