Extra security for your headlights

With so many custom headlights being done, I was wondering if there was a way to add some extra security to prevent them from being stolen. I know there is some work required to remove the housings, but I still wanted some extra piece of mind after reading about how HIDs and projector housings are being targeted lately.

I recently purchsed a set of jimmi jammers for my doors, so I also decided to buy the Hood Latch Guard to protect from someone getting into the hood easily with a screwdriver.

While I was at it, I also bought The Light Keeper that is basically a screw with a special head to make it harder to remove tail lights. It also comes with the removal tool so you can still get to them. Well, I was interested in getting some of these type screws for the headlights, so I called Steve from http://trucksecurity.com to see if they had anything like it available. He said if I told him the bolt size, he could probably find them. I went to the hardware store to match up the bolt and threads and gave him the dimensions. To make a long story short, there is now a new product on their page called the Headlight Security Screw Set for the F150! You can find it on their Ford product page as item 400406. It's only $12.95 and includes the 6 screws for the pair of headlights, plus the install/removal tool.

Anyway, I thought I would let you guys know about this just in case you wanted to add a little protection to your investment! :beers:

havent seen a head like those before, but i imagine you could probably get a security flat head bit to fit it, but im sure most theifs dont have those in their pockets.....

Im protected tho, the theif would first have to figure out how to lower my shaved tailgate, which soon will have an electronic lock on it as well
