I have a 2001 F150 and it has great heat and AC but the temperature control only works sometimes.But it doesn't work most of the time,its stuck on heat and won't turn over to cool..Let me rephrase that,it will turn over to cool but it still continues to blow hot air out,even when the AC is on.It won't transitions over to cold or mix the cool and hot air.Any idea what would cause this?

 

Check first for a stripped temperature control ****.

 

How do you do that? I pulled the **** off and took a pair of needlenose pliers and tried turning it around and it only goes so far to the right and left and it stops.It doesn't feel stripped out.
