Unhappy Climate Control

I am trying to figure out what is happening with my climate control. When I place my Flow selector to panel or floor position just so i can get vent air, my AC turns on. Now, this is an intermittant problem. Can someone point me in the right direction????

Kitty F,

It sounds like the rotary selector switch for Vent/Panel/AC/Defrost on the dash is malfunctioning. The only other source of this type of problem I can think of, and probably very rare, would be an unintentional connection of power source wiring to the AC compressor. I have seen many rotary selector switches go bad, from automobiles to washers/dryers to electrical components.

Take it to the dealer for troubleshooting.

Good luck!
