ac compressor pulley

hi, today my ac compressor pulley started making a awful howling scratching sound. so i went underneath and comes to find out one of those plastic caps is missing on the pulley itself. they are in a triangle pattern. and its letting that metal ring ride against the compressor. question is does anyone know where i can just find that cap or just replace the pulley itself thanks.

You need, at a minimum, a new pressure plate. Get it from Ford.

Do not delay in removing the old pressure plate. Waiting too long may contribute to premature failure of the pulley bearing.

Remove the bolt, gently pry off the plate, and do not loose the shim(s) that are between the snout of the hub and the face of the shaft.

Why would you do that? on my 04 I lost the pressure plate going down the road. all you have to do is remove the center bolt and remove the pressure plate the pulley is held on by a snap ring on the compressor. i drove like that for a moth with out a pressure plate. Memory serves me right a pressure plate cost about $35. just make shure that you dont loose the shims behind the plate they cost around $19 for a bag of 5
