isolating a vacuum leak

i was in the dash adding my subwoofer to my radio and then when i put everything back together my AC comes through the dash. I am almost certain that it is a vacuum leak because the fan speed adjusts and i can change from AC to heat.

My question is how do i go about isolating where the leak is coming from (it's not from the battery to the firewall i'm almost sure) all help is greatly appreciated.

Talking fixed

eh well i found the leak...it's all fixed but thanks for all the help posted in the other topics...they should come up with something that is more durable. a little hole or worn out piece can and usually does destroy the whole system and causese many headaches to find the source of the problem.

sorry that was just more ranting...

How did ya find the leak?

Thanks to Pestco1, he advised me to have someone look for a vaccum leak in my truck. Can you or anyone advise me on how to find the leak myself (that is if there is one) Hopefully that is all it is because I was dreading the heater core and/or blend door replacement.

Thanks...mtngirl
