Is there an easy way to get the quick disconnects off the heater core?

No there is not. While squeezing the tabs real hard, push the hose towards the firewall a little. Mine were a big P.I.T.A.

WHY WHY WHY??? IF YOURE GOING TO REMOVE IT FROM THE DICONECT HOW DO YOU PLAN ON REMOVING THE OTHER END???? OOOOH LETS START BY REMOVING THE INTAKE MAIFOLD. BOY THATS HELL OF A JOB!!!! TAKE ALOOK DO YOU REALY THINK YOU CAN FIT YOURE HAND INBETWEEN THE ENGINE AND FIREWALL TO REACH THE OTHER END??
