Navagation Help

I am a one week owner of a 2011 Lariat crew echoboost with the Lariat Plus package. Dealer said there was a shortage of trucks with nav and if I wanted one it would be big bucks. I settled for the 6 disk changer and it is ok. Here is my predicament:

I have a Clarion NX-501 from my Canyon that I was going to install in the F150. I ordered the Brape bezel for the nav unit thinking it would fit the Clarion unit.

I like the walnut finish but can not find the bezel in walnut either factory or aftermarket in the walnut.

Should I give up the Clarion idea and find a factory nav? If so can someone steer me in the direction of part numbers or whatever. I already have the bezel. Or, is there a bezel made in Brape walnut form Ford. I am open to sugestions.

This is my first new Ford since 1973 (galaxie) so I am not up on all the tricks on F150s.

I am thanking you in advance for your help.

SS

p.s. The gas mileage so far on the echoboost in impressive and am a very happy person.

Why would it be "big bucks"?

2500.00 plus is big bucks to me for a factory nav. Was told shortage of nav units due to problems in Japan. I bought the factory nav bezel thinking I could put the Clarion in it but it has different heat controls than mine. Thank you for your reply.

2011 Lariat Plus
Echoboost (love it)
Heated and Cooled seats
6 disk
18" tires (softer ride)
Oxford white with Dark buckets

Ok, i see what you mean now. My NAV system was $3000 Canadian. I thought you meant the NAV systems were in such demand that you'd have to pay extra for them, above the $2500...

I dont think anyone will sell thier factory nav. The factory nav is more then just nav. I have the factory nav. and it has Sirus Sat. radio, Sirus traffic sinked through it, 10 gig hard drive juke box. Its worth the money.

What's an ECHOBOOST?

I didn't see it as big bucks as it comes with so much. It's a great system and the dealer to you big bucks as he didn't have any. If he had them it wouldn't have been "much more" to him.

You could also look into getting an audio store to build an Ipad into the dash. These systems can work great and look good too.
