Using factory Sirius Satellite radio with new head unit
Say I want to install a new head unit (like a Pioneer AVH-2330NEX) in my 2006 Ford F-150 supercab, is there a way to convert the factory plug from the factory satellite receiver that plugs into the radio to the round plug found on most aftermarket radios?
In other words:
Ford has a rectangular plug in the factory satellite receiver and factory head unit. Aftermarket radios have a round plug. Is there a converter for the rectangular plug to plug into the aftermarket round plug?

Unfortunately you can't...
You'll need to get one of these and install it in conjunction with your head unit.

I wish you could use the old factory satellite receiver, so I wouldn't have to buy that. But I also guess that its better to have a newer tuner if getting a new head unit. BTW, since that new receiver is XM, is there really any difference between that and Sirius, since they're both under the same company?
Besides, with the factory satellite antenna, all I have to do is take the plastic plug off off and it'll plug right in on that new receiver.
