Hi, I have a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD player and i can't get the rear view camera to work. I have tride two different cameras and still black screen. When I put the truck in (R) reverse the screen comes on but just black with some snowing lines. Can anyone help! Thanks

 

It sounds like maybe the camera is not turning on. Where did you connect the camera's power input wire?

 

If it's black with snowing lines then the camera is possibly messed up. If it's just pitch black then the power wire to the camera isn't hooked up to a good or suficient source. From what I understand, a camera needs to be hooked up to the truck's accessory wire, a switch (generally the rear tail light or even a reverse wire in the cab), and a ground.

 

I hooked the power wire into the backup light. I'm going to re install the power cable again and see if that helps. Thanks guys
