Question overhead rail system

Does anyone know of a dvd system that will hook up to the stock overhead rail. One that will pop on to the rails and hold a dvd screen. Don't want oem looking for aftermarket

Just did a quick google (Rail system dvd). Came up with these 2:

BTW, why do you not want the oem dvd player?

No problem.

My truck still has the oem dvd player and I haven't decided what to do with it yet, since I will be installing a new Pioneer HU. PIE has a new adapter out that provides the CAN-Bus signals to the rear seat player, so I could get that or just pull it out and sell it.

I'll let you know. I'll have to check around on pricing, I have no idea how much these things sell for.

The factory dvd can be installed with an aftermarket head unit and vice versa. Do a search on google it will work

Yup. I see that PIE now has a device that allows the RSE to work with an aftermarket HU. (FRD04-DVD Keeper) I've seen them for around $100.00

dvd player

Thanks everyone for the great info in this post. I thought a Ford unit was my only choice with the rail system. Good to know I have options.
