The Best Deck

Hey guys.im a bit confused.i have a 2004 f150
I also have the 6 cd factory unit. I have also donated some of my time to installing some high powered 1500w subs and amp.
I want to replace the stock unit with an upgraded unit that allows me to get gps DVD playback handfree Bluetooth and Bluetooth integration for music via an itouch or iPhone I would also like to install a backup camera any ideas? How long is the wire included? Where do u usually mount em? How does it recognize when tv truck is in reverse? I don't wanna spend a bejesus load of cash. But I like wireless over wired. I'm
More of a convienence guy. If I really had to I can do Itouch via cable and just keep my iphone i guess. through So guys any ideas and model numbers?
Thanks guys....
Louis

I installed a Pioneer Avic F90 in mine just before Christmas. I am not sure about Bluetooth integration with the music. I don't have an iPhone or iTouch. My IPod is wired into the unit and stays in the glove box. The unit has controls for changing between songs and artists and all of that. It uses Voice recognition similar to the new sync stuff. It allows for a backup camera to be installed, I didn't do that. I believe you wire it into the transmission so it knows when you shift into reverse. I paid about $700 for mine, I don't know if that's a bejesus load to you or not. I am very happy with my unit so far. If you want to know more just ask and I will try to help you out.

Hey louis, I have the JVC nx 7000, it does everything you want in a unit including the phone audio, only draw back is you have to purchase a seperate adapter for the bluetooth function. You can get this unit for around $750 and the bluetooth adapter for $129 if you seach hard enough online. Some units come with the bluetooth already intagrated in the system like the kenwood dnx 8120, and it does everything you are looking for but at a higher price tag, like around $1089 online or through ebay. I think pioneer has some units w/ the bluetooth already in it as well, also at a higher price though I don't really know how much higher. I really liked the kewood unit I looked at but went w/ the JVC due to price and the fact that I already had alot of jvc adapters for my truck anyway(bt, sirius, wire harness, etc.)and was able to use them with the new unit. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at how well and fast this unit works (nav loads up in about 15 seconds where others I understand load painfully slow in comparison). I dont use the ipod feature since I don't have an ipod, you also need an adapter for that too but I think you need one for most units anyway, and from what I've read, the ipod works way too slow on this jvc anyhow. I use an sd card for music files instead and it is an awsome feature! Oh yeah, did I mention it has a detachable face plate? Anyway here's a pic of it https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...ion-system.jpg https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...r-close-up.jpg

Well it seems that you can find a nice deck for $500 or less, but u need all these dumb accessories and it has a garbage GPS system. All the accessories end up making it like a 700$ or more deck. I found a DNX8120 for $749.99 but its a refurb and has a 1yr warranty, which isn't a bad deal. But I still don't wanna pay that much. Anyone know where I can get a used one for cheaper? Or any other ideas?

What do consider a garbage nav system? Kenwood comes loaded with a Garmin and those are so supposed to be pretty good systems. And you didn't mention
how much you were lookin' to spend, just what was the best deck for what you wanted it to do.
