Nice HU. Only thing i would recommend different is the AVN 6610. Because it has Dual DVD slots. Therefore, you can either have dual DVD's in or DVD and Nav Disc. Instead of either the DVD OR Nav Disc.

ok. i'm going to break down and buy the AVN6620. it has the dual slots. one for the dvd nav. and one for audio and dvd. i'm guessing not bad for $1200, when it comes with the bluetooth and sattlelite radio receiver. thinking about getting the backup cam too.

look at the kenwood stuff too. eclipse makes great stuff but its very plain. plus their ipod adaptors suck depending on the model you go with. kenwood has steped up their game alot and has come out with very good and competitve product for a great price! just a thought

Out of curiously, what does the Eclipse give you that the Avic-D3 doesn't?

just minor stuff. the D3 will let you change your wallpaper with what you want. the eclipse only let you change from only 3 or so thats on the radio itself. i read that the eclipse also is capible of a phone directory. and i heard that the bluetooth is having problems with some phones. with the D3, i have heard only positive stuff, not bad stuff. besides, i have always liked pioneer anyways. but, anyway, $800 for the D3 that comes with the ipod and bluetooth adapter and $1200 for the eclipse and you have to buy the ipod and bluetooth adapter seperate, which one would you buy?

True. It also is 25 more dollars... And the Eclipse gives you dual slots.

Pioneer has problems with many phones too...

FWIW my D3 Bluetooth works flawlessly with my Sprint Katana and my Verizon Wireless Blackberry (7130e). I can transfer directories from both and I'm pretty impressed overall (with the exception of the Sirius interface). I also like that it looks more stock than the Eclipse. About the only radio that looks closer to stock IMHO is the new Kenwood. The 512 and 5120 (D3 knockoffs) look much better with their matte face..

Why not the Z2. I know that you bought the D3 but did you ever look at the Z2?
