I'm lost....
Ok...I'm lost here. My '07 XLT Supercrew has the factory single-disc, non-SAT, head unit. I would like to change it to either the 6-disc in-dash unit, or, ideally, a NAV unit. The only thing I've determined from searching is that the 6-disc unit COULD be a plug-and-play swap if I get one with the same number of plug-ins on the back of the unit. What about the NAV, am I out of luck? Am I understanding everything correctly?

Anyone???

Bueller?
Bueller? Bueller???? |
A NAV unit SHOULD be plug-n-play, except that you'll have to also get the antenna.
|
Are you talking about switching your unit out with another factory unit that has NAV or a 6disc? Or are you looking to go aftermarket?
|
If you want to add the factory nav, the man to contact with all questions is nothinbutaford. Do a search on his posts & find his new number - he'll set you straight.

Yes it is plug and paly, but you will have to mount the antenna and route it to the radio. I did a pioneer avic-d1 in my f150 and mounted the antenna on dash very neatly. I went with the pioneer, because you can get the update discs from ebay cheap. Also it is a much more solid unit than the ford factory which is also made by pioneer.
