My friend has a FX4 with factory sub is there any extra amp as well or could I hook one up to my factory 07 head unit? Just realized I posted this in the wrong forum but hopefully you can still help me out.

 

Your friend has a factory amp that is mounted to the top of the sub box. What type od head unit do you have? He has a audiophile system. That includes a different headunit, door speakers, and sub/amp. You could add one to your headunit with some creative wiring since I am assuming your head unit isn't audiophile.

 

Thanks for the help, I have the stock head unit that comes in the STX. Im just looking for a simple somewhat inexpensive way to get a little more sound from my system. I dont listen to a lot of rap or anything like that but I would like to have a little extra hit with my rock music. So Im not looking for a 12 or even a 10, just something small.
