I am fixing to install the D2 and was wondering how you get the trim off from around the radio on a 05 F150.

OK I could just say search the forum, but just get a flat head screw driver, or trim tool. Start at the upper corner and pop the clips (gently) all the way to where the trim ends. Remove wire from switches if applicable. and have at it

 

open the ashtray and pull out on the upper part of the open space on the trim piece at one side or the other. once the bottom is pulled out then pull it away some and gently pull away the top. after you have the top pulled away about two inches reach behind and unplug the airbag sensor.
