Audiophile question

I was going to replace my cd radio with a audiophile 6-disk one and looked on the backof both radios. I see that the audiophile has three plugs plus the antenna plug and my single cd has two plugs plus the antenna? I am wondering if what each plug goes to. I know the big plug is for the harness. I am guessing that the medium size plug found on both radios is for the factory sub and the smallest plug found on the audiophile is for radio controls? Is this correct? And if so, could a factory sub and amp be hooked up to the single cd radio using the medium size plug or would you need to have the audiophile radio? Thanks in advanc for any responses.

The small plug of the 3 (8 pin) is for the sub. The 16 pin is for the aux for a DVD, etc.
