Don't have a schematic but it is my understanding that ALL stock sound-stuff (including premium) for F150 platform is NOT equipped with an auto-antenna lead! I find it very hard to believe that the "Ford Spec" for suppliers would be any different (other than form-factor) for any platform! ... I know the '99 - '01 (don't know about '02 - later) Explorer has a power antenna. Anyone installed one? I don't want to install an inconvenient/ugly switch!

 

you want to install a power antenna? A few guys have looked into it, but it turned out to be too much of a hassle, cuz there isn't enough room in the fender space or something like that.

You could always buy a billet or shortie antenna

 

bulldog in florida has one on his lightning...

 

what doesn't he have on his lightning?

maybe do a search for power antenna and see what you come up with

Thnx. I'll try Bulldog. Seems quite a few would like to do this but few (maybe one ... Bulldog?) have.

 

Have you seen bulldog's truck? windows xp, custom ram air hood, everything blacked out It may be more work than you might want to go to, but keep us updated

 

I also want to convert to a power antenna, even if it has a manual switch. I have asked in this forum before and didn't really get any replies. If you have done the conversion please let us know what it involves. Sooner or later I will dive into the situation myself and see what I can come up with. Until then I hope there is someone out there that can shed some light on this situation.
