Anyone looka at their stock muffler?

The thing looks like a steel pontoon off of a pontoon boat... it's huge!

".... and in the event of a water landing, your muffler can be used as a flotation device"

It sure is big. Often I refer to it as the big trash can under the truck.

I was so surprised that I was paying more for a Magnaflow that was waaayy smaller than the stock one.

This is what you guys want for a system for your truck

This happens to be JDM's setup, but I am sure you caould get any good exhaust shop to make something like it. It uses Magnaflow mufflers and tips

Nice setup... I just don't personally like the 'before the tires' side exit look. Still waiting on one with rear side exit... 24" polished stainless DI/DO Magnaflow (#14468 if anyone is interested) welded into the stock tailpipes will have to do until then.

They say with it exiting before the wheel it has less drone in the cab

Looks a little too crowded IMO in front of the rear wheels. On the L it looks good, but on the HD, with the chrome nurf bar ending, and the chrome tips immediately after than, then no empty space after the tips and the wheel begins, looks a little bunched up.

the best sounding setup i've heard so far is Lucky's truck. that thing is badazz!!!

Thumbs up

I love the side exit dual tips!
I had them on a previous truck and never had any problems of too much drone.

B4 the wheel looks best to me... :P

I think they look a lot better before the wheel....

I had a Lightning before the Harley Edition, and I find that I have to clean the Harley tips a LOT more.

I get a lot of road debris thrown onto them from the tires. ALso seems like there'd be a lot less pitting/chipping/etc...

get a set of molded ford mudflaps and you won't have any trouble with cleaning them. they stay ALOT cleaner, and the mud flaps aren't that noticible, and since they are the molded ones, they still look good. they came stock on the 00 HD's, not sure why they didn't after that. Just look too crowded with the tips infront of the tire IMO

OK start bashing me after you answer my question???
Are you making anymore power with these exhaust changes???
Is it worth the money, or are you guys just after different sounds.
Since when do you start worring about weight, or even gas mileage.
We all purchased land yachts.
