I thought I was bad with 10mpg. And 90% of that is in the city. How do you get 5? I don't think i could get that if i tried. You definately need the mod.

I rarely have much money on me and am used to putting 5 or 10 bucks in at a time and it always takes about 5 mins. for the gauge to move up. $20 and it moves as soon as I start the truck. Tells about it in the book. I did run it down one day and the gas light went on but didn't change the driving any. Just b-lined it to a gas station. lol.

Gas Milage

So does this mean that my truck is defective? -- I really don't drive that hard. Occasionally I'll feel the need to pass someone, but for the most part I drive like an old fart to avoid tickets. Besides the slower I roll by, the more time people have to gawk at the truck. -- Back to the question, I still haven't been able to squeeze more that 180-190 miles out of a FULL tank. Should I get this checked out?

Casey./

darkroller,

Is 180-190 when your "low fuel" light comes on, or when you are chugging on fumes? My light comes on around 190 miles, but isn't completely empty until 235-245. What numbers do you use in your calc? Reset your trip odometer on the next fillup, note the number of gallons you put in on your receipt, and divide that by you oddometer reading. My worst was 9.8MPG, and I have a horrible lead foot!
