Harley Bug Sheild Loose?

I got my Harley Davison Bug shield (about $100 with shipping from www.thefordsource.com) and I installed it yesterday. I am not sure but it seems loose. I put the rubber pieces in the right spots, and I screwed the screws in all the way, but it seems like it is going to "flop around" in the wind. I am curious if I used the screws right or something.

How is the fit on your bug shield?

Mine only seems slightly loose when the hood is up. Once I shut the hood, it doesn't really move at all. Do your rubber pads touch the hood at all times? Mine touch the hood whether hood up or down.

my dealer wanted $145 including install (and they HAD to install). So $100 wasn't bad for me.

Mine is the same way and seems to be wearing the paint off the truck just above the grill. However, not going to remove it since it looks tough and protects the hood. Already have a bunch of chips on the bumper. :(

mine fits nice and snug.

and if its rubbing, either adjust your hood bump stops up a little (hood may be out of whack anyway) or put the soft side of velcro on the bottom of the deflector or do both to stop the rubbing. I adjusted the bump stops and i have no rubbing at all now. good luck
