Evel Kenevel Truck Edition

Has anyone else seen this weeks "Hot Rod TV"? There were showing a build it to order EK edition truck that sure looked like a gaudy knock off of our HD's. Its the most patriot truck going, but the blue dash with red carbon fiber instrument clusters is a little over the top. I would take the Boyd rims though! But you can keep the red/white and blue leather seats. Its a SuperCrew with the supercharged 5.4 motor though the air intake looked maybe different. Not much of the fundamentals were covered other than the Flowmaster Exhaust and Eibach Springs.

Will Ford keep our trucks unique or are they going to use this well executed package to showcase other themes?

I should be the last of us to complain, since I essentially bought the HD as an alternative to the Lightning, but this was a little too much. I know Ford isn't actually producing these trucks, EK, but they are giving the builders our platform to start.

Opinions?

The EK edition is not a Ford factory truck. Galpin Ford that is here in California is THE largest Ford dealer and they produce a lot of custom Fords in house. The EK is actually a Galpin Ford model.

I saw that last night. Pretty nice trucks on the outside, but the interior is down right gaudy!!! I don't think they are copying off the HD's at all though. Different rims, suspension, different grille, no ford emblems or even alliance logo's, different paint job, different interior, different s/c. Practically nothing is the same except it being a screw. I thought that they said it was a specialty shop or company that made them. I think they are conversions, and not a ford produced thing, so i don't think ford has anything to do with it or any say in it at all. They are very rare though, i can't see spending that kind of money on the truck and then paying the shop to make the conversion. But at the very least, i'd be happy that the megga-patriotic truck is a ford and not a chevy LoL
