I see from our fairdinkum auzzie's thread that 00 and 01 owners received plaques, jackets and hard tonneau covers. Well, some did anyway. Have any of you 02 owners recieve any thing like that? My dealer didn't mention anything about any extras I could expect. Thanks.

As far as I know the freebie's only went to the 2000 owners and my dealership had no knowledge of any of it. I found out from coming on here. What I did, was make a few calls to the Ford customer help line and they looked into it for me. At first they said I'd get nothing so I pretty well forgot about it. Then I started getting things in the mail. I heard that Ford spent over 1 million dollars in the free stuff for the 2000 owners. By the way, I got 2 jackets, plus the other stuff. Good luck.

 

As I understood it the 01 HDF-150 owners got the plaque and keyring in a presentation case with the VIN and owners anme engraved on them. Jackets and lids came with the 00 - the lids should have been on the utes when they were sold but because of production/supply problems they were supplied & fitted later on...so you paid for the lids when you bought the ute! Don't give FORD credit for the "free lid". So the 00 owners just realy got jackets....and ONLY SOME of the 01 HDF-150 owners according to FORD get the plaque.

 

I guess us 02 guys got screwed. I called Ford's customer service and was told that there will be no promotional items given for the 02 HD's.

 

Just to clear some stuff up here on the freebies. here's what the HD's got

2000- Jacket, keychain, emblem, special hard tonneau (was free cuz ford kicked off 500 off the price cuz it wasn't available when trucks were sold or at least they should have cuz thats what FoMoCo stated they should do) o yeah, and presentation box

2001- Jacket (I'm pretty sure, maybe it was a blanket, i'll have to ask my friend with a 01 what he got) Keychain, NO tonneau, Plaque (not an emblem that can stick on, a paperweight type plaque) and presentation box

2002- probably nothing, maybe a jacket, but ford is down right now, thats probably why they have the build # emblems already in the console so they don't have to worry about personalizing them for the owners, and paying for shipping, and dealing with the ones who didn't get them.

This is what the owners should have recieved. The 02 guys might get something, 00's and 01's never found out until the 1st owners started recieving stuff out of nowhere. Hope this clarify's who was supposed to get what with what year HD.

 

The only thing I got with the 02 were locking lug nuts. Some say they got a Harley flashlight.....I didn't FYI after talking to the Harley rep in Daytona, the 2000 giveaway cost Ford 13 million!!!

 

Ya just got the locking lug nuts to, why didn't they put them on though, seemed kind of odd.

 

Knew abouy it from talking with the rep....asked dealer to put them on before I picked it up.

 

Well, I'll take the blower over a jacket anyday!

 

All I got with my 01 was a plaque and a key chain in a leather case. No jacket.
