HEY GUYS CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ? DOES ANYONE KNOW EXACTLY WHAT CAME WITH THE 00 HD I.E. BED COVER AND SO ON COS I GOT JACK WITH MINE HERE IN ENGLAND. ALSO OF THE BUILD PLAQUE AS THE TWO COMPANYS HERE HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THEM. I ALSO PHONED THE FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONS IN THE U.S. AND THEY WERE AS MUCH USE AS A ONE LEGGED BLOKE IN A *** KICKING COMPITION SO IF ANY OF YOU KIND FOLK CAN SHED SOME LIGHT I WOULD BE GREATFUL MANY THANKS HEMI

 

HEMIUK, this may take a little while, but i'll try and make it short. with my truck i got a Harley F-150 jacket, i got a leather box (about 4" x 8" x 1") that the harley keychain and owner's emblem came in, i got a harley bedmat, and i also got a special tonneau cover, even though it took over a year for ford to get their act together and release the covers for the HDs (thats probably the main reason 01 and 02 HD's dont come w/ covers) Thats all i can think of right now, and i'll post pics of the special emblem if you want later. Here are a few pics of what the special cover looks like. About the emblem, if you got yours used, the original owner probably kept it cuz it would have his name on it, and he would probably wanna keep it when he got rid of the truck. as for the cover, it may be hard to get if you live oversea's cuz the cover was only supposed to be for the original owner too. I have heard of people buying used 00 harleys though and contacting the original owner to get papers or something for the cover. But i dunno, it may be to late now cuz i think there was a deadline. Your only hope would probably be contacting leer dealers in the US to see if they have any HD covers that nobody claimed, but then you'd still have to get it shipped. hope this helped, if ya got anymore questions, just ask.

 

HEY #356 MANY THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY I GOT THE BED LINER BUT AS FOR THE REST THE ORIGINAL OWNER NEVER RECIVED ANY OF IT AND HAS SAID THAT IF HE HAD IT I WOULD BE MORE THAN WELCOM TO IT. THE GUY IS DISSABLED AND HAD NEVER DRIVEN IT ONLY A FRIEND WHO RAN HIM AROUND IN IT FOR A WHILE IT'S A LONG STORY BUT HEY HO I GUESS I'M THE LUCKY ONE SO MY 00 WAS BROUGHT FROM HIM AS I SAID THE TWO COMPANYS THAT GET THEM IN OVER HERE HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THE OWNERS PLAQUE, DID YOU HAVE TO GET IT FROM FORD YOURSELF OR FROM THE DEALER? Don't know if this helps but ... I bought my 2000 new last May and did not get any info. from the dealer. Heard about most of the special goodies from this forum. Tried to get some info. from dealer after I knew what I should get and really got nowhere. At about the time my frustration was reaching a pitch (Oct. 3) I received a call from an independant company ... didn't ask many questions but they are responsible to follow up with owners and provide the jacket at least. Gave the ladie my size and a couple of weeks later it was delivered. Don't know if they are also responsible for the plaque and key chain.

Anyway the ladies name was Margaret and the phone was 800.387.4966 ... don't know if you can connect. Let me know, maybe I can facilitate getting you in touch. Maybe they need info. from Ford???

 

you need to go to www.dealerconnection.com do a search for Business Preferred Sales and Service Dealers and one of them will be able to help you out....It took me 7 months to get my tonnea cover and they shipped it to the wrong city, Leer told me tough **** and I had to drive 300 miles to get it....I was furious but it was ok.....About the Fleece jacket and emblem...after you call the Ford Harley 800 Customer Service number and give them your PIN number that the origional owner recieved in a letter from ford. they will ship your jacket and keychain...then the process of getting the tonneau starts.

 

HEMIUK, i never knew about the jacket when i got my truck, then one day the letter with the pin number came in the mail for it. i never knew about the plaque and keychain, then one day it came in the mail. They were both from ford motor company, cuz the dealer didn't know anything about it. As for the tonneau, they took like 500 dollars off the truck's price, and i had to wait about a year to get it. I was on vacation down the shore when it arrived at the Leer dealers, but i drove home anyway and got it installed. It was well worth the trip and the wait, i think its the most beautiful cover out there for the HD's, it just flows so well with the flareside bed and all. But in the meantime when i was waiting, i called NBC (my local news station for the Philly area) and they started an investigation thing, cuz ford/leer had some excuse about the paint, then it was the lock cylinder, then it was the hinges. about two weeks after the news started investigating it, i got a call from leer saying my cover would be in the following month. It gave them a little kick in the but to start to get their act together, but i was hoping it would be on the news, just so i could get my truck on TV . I think that your best hope would be contacting leer dealers around here and FoMoCo to ask about the cover.

The Letter with the PIN number was mailed to the origional purchaser of the truck....GOOD LUCK!

 

As far as the Harley plaque is concerned I suppose you have received the same bulls**t that I received here "Downunder". Ford Customer Service have advised me that because my HDF-150 (2001) was an Export Sale (as against a Retail sale) I get jack s**t from them as far as the plaque is concerned. I have told them that after spending the equivalent of over USD 50 grand on my ute that I am PI**ED OFF!!!!

According to Ford "XYZ purchases vehicles for export through
Worldwide Direct Market Operations and then sells them to a company by the name of ABC. ABC then converts the vehicles from left hand drive to right hand drive and either sells the vehicles directly to customers or to a Ford dealership who then sells the vehicles to their customer." Problem is that the shipping papers show it was mine when it left North America.

Ford went on to say "When sales are done this way, it is not considered a retail customer because it was originally purchased by a Ford dealership and only the original retail customer gets the plaque. Unfortunately, in this case no plaque was issued for your vehicle since it was not a retail sale". NICE ONE FORD!

Yet thay closed the email off with: "We value you as our customer and we hope that you will remain a loyal Ford Family member for a very long time." What a load of CR*P!!!

So I guess you get jack s**t just like like me!

I will be emailing FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE to refer them to this site and this posting just to highlight how PI**ED OFF I am.

 

How long after you purchsed your truck did this letter with a pin number arrive? Dealer never said anything about this to me when I purchased a 2002.

HI IT'S ME AGAIN PI**ED OFF FROM ENGLAND WELL PHONED FORD CANADA WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY THE SAME WITH FORD U.S. AFTER BEING PUT ON HOLD FOR 20 MINS WHY CAN'T FORD JUST GIVE US THE STUFF THAT WE PAYED FOR, I REALY WISH THAT SOMEONE FROM FORD WOULD TAKE A LOOK AT THIS SITE AND SEE JUST WHAT SOME OF THERE VALUED CUSTOMERS THINK OF THERE BACK-UP SERVICE. YOU KNOW WHAT REALY GRIPS MY S**T THEY DON,T GIVE A SH*T ABOUT THERE OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE SPENT IN THE REIGION OF 40 TO 50,000 HARD EARNED U.S. DOLLARS AT THE END OF THE DAY DOES IT REALY MATTER WHERE THE TRUCK ENDS UP ?
