S/C W/Bilsteins and rear sway
S/C W/Bilsteins and rear sway
Has anyone replaced their shocks with the Bilsteins that come on the Lightning?
How about adding a rear sway bar? It looks awlful tight around the rear axle the way the twin exhaust tubes wrap around it.
Regards,
Frank

Put Bilsteins in my RC/SB 2 days ago
Frank,
Put Bilsteins in my RC/SB 2 days ago and it made a big difference in the handling.
No more sway in crosswinds and a quicker, less mushy turn in. I get a rear sway-bar put in next week. My truck is stock height. The ride is maybe a bit firmer but no more bouncy pogo effect on chopped pavement. The shocks are worth it.
I called Bilstein less than a month ago and they didn't have part numbers for the Lightning shocks, not through the consumer channel - he said maybe late spring.
Enjoy them,
Brian
