Are wheel spacers those gadgets that make your tires stick out 3 feet outside the fenderwell?

yes, they are but they dont have to be..... they use them on spors cars to get the wheels further out..... usually 1-2 in. if done right i think it might make the rear of the truck look better bacause....the rear tires sem to be too far in, but then again when you hit a bump the tire would probably hit the lip of the fender..... maybe like a half in. spacer.... but i would just leave it alone.... looks sweet to me.

I believe you can find them at your local Auto Parts store... Between the Coffee Can Mufflers and the "Type R" stickers. Right above the ethanol Rice additive.

Get a clue BlownHarley....wheel spacers are not rice. They dont set the wheels 3 feet out of the fenders, they just move them out about an inch. This gives the car better handling without sacrificing ride quality.

So why dont you get a clue before talking?

I hope your not implying that IM this "Junior"

If you guys think that wheel spacers are rice....then you have NO IDEA what 'rice' means. Rice means putting things on your car that dont really help in performance but are cheap additives that make your car LOOK faster

i/e : stickers, badges, huge body kits, giant triple decker wings and even slammed suspesnions (not airbags but springs)

Some of you guys are getting way to jumpy and calling anything that changes the appearance of the car as 'RICE'. As a matter of fact, dropping a TRUCK would be more rice than wheel spacers. I dont think a lot of people would be happy with THAT. Im not saying that it IS rice (in my opinion anyways) but if wheel spacers are considered 'rice' by some of you guys, lowered suspension should be too.

Also, your comment about 'Get a Life'? Umm, why dont you think before you talk. Not only is that irrelevant to ANYTHING in this board, but you have NO idea who or what im like. Fomr that comment, Im guessing that your either an uneducated, lower class person or just white trash...

The wheel spacers cannot support the kind of weight that these trucks have. I have inquired of one of my friends on these wheel spacers (he is a wheel wholesaler), and he strongly advised againt them, as they are not meant to support any weight and can cause some serious damage if they do deteriorate because of the weight.

There is no damn room to extend my wheels out any, not without hitting the fenders. I'll be lucky to get a 295 tire in there and still have safe room. Sticking the wheels out any more on these trucks is rice in my opinion. You want to help handling, do it the right way. Sway bars in the rear, lowered a little, Bilstiens, better tires. If you're going to do it, do it right or not at all.

Am I missing something here? But when have "lower class persons" been able to afford $35,000 vehicles. And as far as the "white trash" comment goes, I can see how that could easily be percieved as part of relevant information on behalf of the subject at hand. Look at your "rank" right underneath your name "Junior." Something tells me that somebody needs to get a clue, but it's not GMJAMMER. With that, I will excuse my "white trash" self down to the garage of my house (not trailer), and do some much needed waxing to my truck. I will also personally vouch for GMJAMMER. He is probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. But in order to meet this "uneducated, lower class, piece of white trash," you will have to drive out to his suburban house, and try to find a spot in his driveway, which if I remember correctly, permanently houses, a new Cadillac, a new 3/4 ton Suburban, a nice Jimmy/Blazer LT, as well as his HD.

Stallion--Bolt in a set of the Bell Tech (or other brand--I just chose them because that is what LightningForce carries) 2" rear shackles. It helps the rear tires to visually 'fill up the wheelwells' and really helps the appearance, no discernable deterioration in ride and no concern about spacers breaking down. If you are set on spacers might try H&R... a lot of the late model Mustang guys use them to push the rear wheels out to fill the wheelwells and improve handling--they are high quality billet and will set you back around $100 a pair or so.

Hey Junior - get a life
"And as far as the "white trash" comment goes, I can see how that could easily be percieved as part of relevant information on behalf of the subject at hand." "Something tells me that somebody needs to get a clue, but it's not GMJAMMER."
Ummm....so someone can say "get a life" and it is SOMEHOW relvant to the topic at hand but calling somone "white trash" in defense is not. You say somebody needs to get a clue, but its no GMJAMMER...in that case, it must be YOU

As for the people that DID give some useful info, thanks a lot. Ill look into some of these things and will hopefully find something out there.

thats rough.

Man, the guy askes a simple question about wheel spacers and look what happens. Its not like he came on here and said "I want wheel spacers because I want to go fast." if he did, I would consider that rice.

I saw a pic of someones F150 HD with one of those A.R.E. hard tops with a built in spoiler... Now Im sure that he didnt get that spoiler because he wanted to "go fast," Im sure he did it to add to the cosmetic apperance to the truck. Same goes to all those people with the jewed tail lights, which some would jump to say that was rice also.

look.. If you REALLY want to boost your performance though, use the riceboy motto.. yellow=performance
