I finally got my plaque and key chain from Ford Canada. So other Canadians wil be recieving there soon.

I didn't get build number but did get build date.

Built-August 29, 2000

I think ours may be a little different.

 

Got mine on Dec 31--Thanks Ford Canada--looks really classy! Build number would be nice since on limited editions its a special record--my '99 SVT Contour is #401 of 2760 and Ford sent me the paper to prove it Would be nice to have something similar for our '00 HD's ") I won't quibble too much but the build date on the plaque doesn't match the sticker dates: plague had build as July 31 which is the date my dealer got it; sticker had build on July 24 to July 30. But I'm not complaining:

the build number is on the plates, it says vehicle number xxxx

The Canadian plaque is not the same as the US one. It does not have a vehicle # on it.

yeah now i see, i think that the 01 harleys here have that plaque, but with the build number. the only thing i can think of is that they weren't gonna make plaques for CAN hd owners, and when they got too many complaints for them, they just used the 01 plaque, and gave it to the 00 CAN owners. Here's a pic of the one the 00 owners got here

 

our info is not within a Ford oval but is all rectangular--except for build number all info is there; includes the key chain so maybe it's a copy of the 2001 plaque. My build date however still does not match that on my sticker as you can read above..letters out to Ford Canada and Dearborn to see if build # can be provided.
