Question lowering my 00' harley

Need some advice and help, what do I need to lower my truck. I thinking about just dropping it 2 inches in the back, to give balanced look. What do I buy, and should I send out the work? Also would love to slam the thing to the ground, but I hate driving around worrying about scraping anything. Anyone got any good pics of some lowered hds? Also one more thing, anyone got the story on the air suspension kits? thanks

Can get some drop shackles for the back...takes about 30min to install if you have a large jack

Otherwise take it to a truck shop...should be less than 50 bucks total including installation.

Thumbs up

I have a harley f-150 and I used a Belltech 3in. in front and 4in. in the rear. I would recomenned Belltech if you have the money for them. If you want to slam it to the ground try a set of airbag hydrolics so you don't have to worry about scraping anything.

airbag hydrolics?

dood....what a dumbass..."airbag hydrolics"....there is a BIG defference.....if you got airbags you got bags (firestone airspring ususlly) if you got hydros, you got hydros with a ****ty ride.....all new caddys, towncars, and luxury vehicles including the navigator and some suburbans come with factory air bags...their non adjustable but give a nice ride.........

I have a 00 HD that I had a 3/4 BellTech lowering kit installed. The ride was not what I wanted so I went to a 4 way Link AirRide
suspension setup. Expensive, but works great. I can set it down to the axle for crusing or adjust for a better ride as much as 6".

With the Belltech 3/4, do you have any problems with the tires front or back rubbing? Do you guys have any pics you could e-mail me? Where did you purchase your kits from?

Thanks,
David

LOWERING DONE EASY!

HEY
THIS IS WHAT I DID W/ MY 2001 HD. I TOOK IT TO A SUSPENSION SHOP HERE IN AZ AND THEY DE-ARCHED MY REAR LEAF SPRINGS ABOUT 3". THIS DOESN'T VOID ANY WARRENTIES SINCE YOUR NOT ADDING AFTERMARKET BRACKETS AND IT ONLY RAN ME $250.
W/ THE HD THEY ALREADY ARE LOWARDED 1" FROM THE FACTORY. SO THE TRUCK SEATS LEVEL AND LOOK GREAT!!
