SS & Auto Climate Control
This past Saturday I cruised over to Frontier Ford in San Jose, CA where I got my 2001 HD to talk to the people in the parts department.
My questions obviously had to do with the 2002 HD. When could I order the auto climate control and when could I order the supercharger.
According to the 18-20 year old (nothing against the young ones as I am only turning 26 on Christmas Eve) you would only be able to order these parts if you could give your 2002 HD VIN. Those parts would not be available to other HD owners.
No one else was there so I had to take his word. I would think that Ford would offer the climate control in the regular F150 which stems to reason one could order it for the 2001 and older F150. And the supercharger, well I am not sure about his story either...I am considering a Holley system. Has anyone slapped on the Holley blower unto their Hog?

If it's not unique to the HD you probably won't need a vin # to get the part. but if it is HD unique, you will need the vin # for the year that the part is on. I have a 2000 and wanted to get the tailgate emblem that is on the 2001 harleys, and when i ordered it fomoco rejected it since i had a 2000's vin. I had to use the 2001 vin that the dealer owned to get the emblem.
