Gear Ratios?

Would lowering the gear ratio to 3.55 improve acceleration by much on the HD? I will be getting a supercharger soon and want to know what else I can accompany it with. I know knew gears will improve it's acceleration but not really sure what to do? I'm not familiar with all this gear stuff...just know how they work. Who could I purchase new gears from? Thanks for all the help you can give me.

Lowering TO 3.55? What do you have now? If you have a 2000, you already have 3.55's. If you have a 2001, you may have 3.73's. If that is the case lowering tp 3.55's will decrease accelleration. You would want to got to a higher gear, such as a 4.1x or 4.56. In this case, you will lose high end (top speed) and gas mileage would be decreased. You have to weigh the pro's and cons.
