How Much?

Ummmm....Hi

I saw a REALLY nice black tru driving in front of me and I was like "Wow, thats a really nice looking" We happened to both be going to a local supermarket and I asked him what car it was. He said it was an F-150 Harley Davidson.

He said he bought his for a little over 35G. I know that they are still pretty much new but how much can I get one for right about now? Is Ford coming out with more models? (I hear there was a 2000 model), should I wait for a new model to come out so the price drops a bit?

Thanks In Advance (TIA)

Welcome

Welcome,

Yes, there are 2000 and 2001 models currently out. The 2000 is a a Supercab model, and the 2001 is a Supercrew model. The 2002's are not currently out yet. Depending on the location, you can sometimes get a pretty good deal on them. There's a 2001 sitting on a dealer's lot right here in Western NY. I don't know what they would take for it.

Mike

Cool They are all the same.

Welcome, New2Hrly! The Harley trucks are all black and the interiors for the model year (2000 and 2001 thus far) is identical. You don't get a choice, but the truck is perfect in the first place. You don't want a choice, they got it right!

Actually, there are quite a few differences between the 00 and 01 models.

-Stripes on the outside are different.
-Obviously the 01 is a Screw with 4 captains chairs.
-The seats have a regular HD badge on the 01 models. The 00 models are embossed with the HD logo.
-The 01 Screws can be had with a sunroof, not possible on the 00.
-The 01's have standard 3.73 rear gears, 00's are 3.55
-As for the tranny, It doesn't seem to be consistent with the 4r100 heavy duty tranny. Some report their 01's have the 4r70. I think it depends on how it is ordered. I know I specified a certain package to get the 4r100, I'd have to look at my order sheet.
-00's got a jacket, lid, keychain, and plaque, 01's got a keychain, plaque, bed mat, and bed extender.

This is all I can think of off the top of my head. In general I like the overall looks of the 00 better but you can't beat the room and the badged seats and sunroof of an 01.

I do believe at least SOME of the 00s had 3.73 rear ends.

There was an individual who lived in mexico who had his 2000 come with a 3.73.

Unhappy oops

I meant that basically, what you see is what you get when you look at the truck. You can't select interior/exterior colors, etc. There are only a very few options offered, such as the sunroof, etc.

Didn't mean to imply that there were no differences between the 2000 and 2001 models.

Hmmm....wel I've done some research on both the 2000 and 2001 year model of the F-150 Harley's. Both are very nice and look comfortable (interior). However, Im torn on which ones to get. Heres what im looking for :

-A nice smooth ride (for a truck anyways)
-Comfortable on both long and short trips
-Able to sit 4 comfortably

Im not going to race with this thing, rather im going to cruise around whenever I feel like. Which one do you feel is more comfortable to drive. I think that the 2000 would be a little easier to handle since it weighs less and is a bit smaller.

Which should I get?

lrutt, just so ya know, the 2000's came with the Harley bed mat too, and we also have the chrome lower grille, where as you guys have the black, but you also have the chrome trim around your upper grille, and you guys also have the harley emblem on your tailgate, and i think you mentioned this but we also got a free special edition leer tonneau cover.

and New2Hrly, you'll love whatever model you get cuz they are both such beautiful trucks, i personally like the 2000's better since you can seat 5 people if needed, and i'm 6 ft. and can sit in the back seat comfortably. Also i like the flare side design better too but thats just my opinion, good luck with whatever choice you make, keep us posted
