01 Lightning lights

What is everyone' s views on the Lightning tail, corner & headlights? I noticed a few of you have the clear tails. I just purchased tail lights for my truck & I may put on the corner & headlights.(the price has me held back). I think Ford should have put these on the truck from the start. Does everyone like the looks of them??

I have the tails on my Harley SuperCrew. Love em... and everyone I've talked to (including several ocifers of the law-way) love them too! The lights with the truck in reverse look AWESOME at night!

I've also put the whole set (front, side, back) and they look really neat in my opinion. I like them and have got alot of good opinions back. Also I think they are a lot brighter than regular lights so it good for me because I do a lot of highway driving.

Has anyone with the L lights run into problems of them being to bright for the city. I was leaving the Flames hockey games and the police were controlling traffic. I had 2 police on my way out say to turn off the fogs because the lights on my truck are way to bright.

I don't mind the corner and head lights but I don't like the clear tails on a dark vehicle of any kind. They look good on light or possibly even red if there is enough red in the tail light assembly. On a black truck though I'll pass. I'd rather have a more stealthy look with a darker tail light myself.

I definately love the tails! I had the heads and corners too but, sold them. In my opinion they cost too much, and not really make that much difference to justify the price. Besides I like the clear corners I have. I would guess the tails cost too much now as well. I think the best, though you can hardly tell, is the L 3rd brake light. It looks too cool!!!

Exclamation Need Help!

Hey guys...I have the whole set (headlights/taillights/corners) on the floor in my bedroom. Just need to know how to install them. I don't want to screw anything up. Should I take it to Ford or a body shop. Is it easier than I think? Thanks for the help.

Duuuuude! Save your cash. It's too easy. I'm not at all mechanically inclined and did it my self. Your manual should illistarte everything. Just be sure when you're installing the tails to slap a couple three washers on the bolt. It's too long and will penetrate the lens. Good luck!

Hey ricekicker, man its not that bad at all. If a guy like myself can do it you shouldnt have any problems. I had the backs in in about 10 minutes tops. The fronts took a little longer which was about a total of 45 minutes for both sides.
