2002 f150 harley

i want to buy a 2002 Harley Davidson supercharged and I noticed that it had no fog lights and no harness on it the passenger side front wheel was squeaking when pushed down also the wheel looks like the top of the wheel looks to be inward, abs light is on, other than that it looks good and the engine is in top notch ..would it be a good buy for $9,000? Thank you....

How many miles? Sounds as if it will need some front end work and an alignment. If it is in good shape, does not sound too high to me.

the truck has 117,500 miles, would it be easy to add the fog light likt to it?

I would do a good check over to see if the front end had been in an accident. Maybe get a Carfax report.

Private party book value in "fair" condition is about 10 grand. On the surface, $9000 looks like a decent deal, but without knowing how much work it really needs this could be chancy. Sounds to me like the thing was in a front end wreck and patched back together.

Buying a supercharged engine with 117k miles on it you might as well expect to have to do a rebuild unless it has already been rebuilt. Unless you have the extra bucks, I think it would be a bad idea to buy it.

:lies:

these motors go upwards of 200k miles with routine maintenance, the supercharger has nothing to do with that

Depends on how the gas pedal has been operated. If you don't know the previous owner(s), assuming it will go 200k would definitely be optimistic. A pocketful of cash would be handy.

Considering the fog lights and harness are gone and the front end issue it is very fare to say it's been wrecked at some point. I would get the car fax and have it checked at a body shop for frame damage. These facts would greatly adjust value and whether or not it is worth your time. Depending on whats wrong and you mechanical ability it could be a good deal. Your user name is 02supercharged, what gives? If you don't own it yet.

I own a 2002 Harley Davidson F-150 and I can assure you that they are amazing trucks. However, if it is wrecked then 9,000 is a bit steep after also considering the mileage that has already been put on it. These trucks hold their value very well but it's hard to justify that price when you don't know how much trouble it will cause you.
