Question Keyset in the glovebox

I picked up my new 2001 HD on Saturday, and after playing with all the goodies this thing has to offer, I have one question. I found a keyset inside the glove box wrapped in a Ford parts wrapper. No key with it, just the lock mechanism. What is this thing for? Anyone else get this with there 2001 HD?

By the way, this is the best truck I've ever owned!

Thanks!

They Key is for the Topper that you should recieve I believe. Ford will most likly send you a letter about it in the next couple of weeks.

Ya I agree these are the sweetest trucks.

There is no 'free' cover or lid with the 2001's. This was only for the 2000's. Don't know why they put the lock in there but don't be planning on a free lid.

Lockset

Check your ignition key in the lockset.
It should fit.

You can then use this lockset in a cover that you buy, such as a 700 series from Leer which is close to what Leer is putting on the 00 trucks
