Looking to pull the trigger on a HD truck.

I'm trying to decide if I should trade my 05 King Ranch in on a 07 Harley in Amethyst.

My King Ranch had 45K on it. Runs great, looks great and it's the second King Ranch I've owned. First one was a 01 which I traded at 70K on the 05.

Mechanically the trucks are the same. 5.4, two wheel drive, SuperCrew, 5.5 bed, etc.

Just on the fence........love the look of the Amethyst and the monochromatic look of the HD. Really like the black interior vs the King Ranch beautiful Castano leather interior. Just tired of it and want something different. If this was 03 with the SuperCharged engine, well there would be no need for this thread. I'd snap it right up. But the power is the same. Not knocking, but nothing spectactular.

Someone....give me a little push, please !!!!

Get it and add an aftermarket blower from Roush or Trilogy

While I didn't trade my 06 King Ranch, I gave to my brother in law, I got the 07 HD in black and I won't look back and I had the 03 two tone supercharger and I have loved them all but the black interior set up is the bomb to me.

Well, I should have the HD truck today or tomorrow.

Kind of sad though.......looking at my King Ranch sitting in the driveway this morning, as it has for 2 1/2 years, wonder if it knows it's getting kicked to the curb?? LOL

Oh well, now I'm on edge of my seat.

It will be a LONG day.

I had the same feeling last week when i got mine!
Just remember to take a real close look inside and outside of your new truck before you drive away!

Well I've had it for several days now. Nice truck. LOVE the color.

A tad too high off the ground.

Just changed it to Amsoil. While my mechanic was doing it, I inspected the undercarriage. Looks OK, nothing out of sorts.

Boy !!!!!! those tires are BIG....

So, will you haul anything with it? I have been looking as well. Can you please confirm the payload is only 900# on the door sticker? I am already pushed to the limit with the 1550# on my 2007 Lariat Supercrew, and the HD with 900# is certainly not enough... unless the truck brochure is incorrect and it is actally more. Here's hoping!

Not that it matters to me, but my new Harely is the same truck as my 2004 Lariat, just a whole lot nicer. I am sure the Harley could do the same things my old one did (but it wont). The only difference is the factory 22" rims are bigger than the 20" aftermarket rims i had on my old truck.

I have a work van that does all my dirty work now, and the Harley is just for pleasure use now!
