Autometer Boost Gauge Problem
Autometer Boost Gauge Problem
I installed the Autometer Boost gauge pod on my steering column (2002 F150 Harley Supercrew). Lights work ok, but no boost or vacuum. Line I attached the boost gauge to has no vacuum or pressure when engine is running. I am thinking I have connected to the wrong vacuum/boost line. Anyone have clearer instructions on which line exactly it should be attached to? Any help is appreciated. I called Ford Racing support (per instructions) and they haven't returned my call.
After further investigation under the hood, the capped boost hose was broken. Going to Ford dealer tomorrow to get another and check its proper orientation. Its a black hose capped on one end near driverside firewall and the other end appears to attach to the vacuum switch located near where the air intake enters the supercharger. Thanks! Will reply with the outcome.

UPDATE: Ended up taking truck to dealer. Some of the vacuum hoses were in need of replacing.
QUESTION: For a stock 2002 Harley F150. What kind of boost reading should I be getting on the vacuum/boost gauge?
I am getting from 10 - 0 lbs vacuum. When I left the dealer it was reading 10 - 0 lbs vacuum, then the mechanic did something to it and when leaving it read 0 - 4 lbs boost. He said if it kept doing that to bring it back in, my be the EGR dump valve.
Thanks to the replies. Appreciate it!
