SS Site ******* Harleys

I posted this on the National Harley site also. Those Silverado SS guys think that truck is way better than the Harley. My response is under my Bomtech screen name also. Enjoy.

Bombtech.

I noticed your times on the SS site. 105 mph trap ?

With a 6 lb lower ?

Is that a type-o ?

And you only make 10lbs of boost ?

Only pulled that time once in very cool weather and as much weight off the truck as possible. I don't have a boost gauge, so I am just going with what I was told I would have when I bought it, but since then I have been told by others I am probably running more like 12lbs in cooler weather, especially with the big cone filter I am using.

I guess that makes you the fastest 6 lb pulley truck around by 3.5+mph...

Interesting...

A lot of the guys that run at speed world near Phoenix don't take their mph to serious, your reply is starting to make me wonder also. I know at Firebird in Phoenix at the truckin nationals one of the R/T guys ran a high 12 with 113 mph. He said that was an incorrect mph but never said why that would happen, any idea why that happens?

These guys are morons. If you go back to the first posts on the site, you will see how at first they were so pissed that it was underpowered and were guessing that it may be mid 14 second truck because there is no way they would bring out the truck slower than the Harley. Then the price came out at 40k and they were pissed again. Then they found out it was tested as a low 15 second truck and that got them on the " oh well at least I can tow more in the snow" line going. Now if you go to the strip section there is a guy that took his to the track at carlesbad raceway in southern cal(good times are had there, about 3-4 tenths better than in Phoenix) and ran a best of 15.3! That is about 15.5 or 15.6 everywhere else, I say this because I heard from guys that race there that they get way better times there than at other tracks. This guy can't use the "I couldn't get traction" line either because they claim that their AWD solves that for them and the rest of us without AWD are left spinning tires. This guy is the same guy that claims on other posts that he is getting a supercharger and should be faster than a Lightning and kill Harleys. He may get it to run fast, but it's going to cost him at least 45k total to beat my 33k Harley!

They banned me for my username, which contained "Ford".

Honestly though, they are very lame, and mis-informed. They are mostly dorks who have NO clue about anything, at all. "I can haul *** in the snow, lets see a lightning do that!" For one, I wouldnt drive my a Lightning in the snow, it looks TOO DAMN GOOD. Who races in the snow anyways, only morons.

The dude in that thread that spouted the Motor Trend #'s is lame... there's only one other stock truck in production right now that will beat my HD, and it's a FORD too.

What a kook

The one dude throwing on the blower lives by me. We plan on baggin him when he gets his blower on. He has been trolling NLOC for quite some time. What i dont understand is why they would blow $40K on such a worthless truck Id i needed an extra cab type truck, a HD would be a no brainer.

If Chevy attempted to go after the HD, they need to scrap the SS and go back to the drawing board because they fell short. And what is up with that nasty looking front end?

I checked out that post also and am I the only one that thinks Chevy is on crack with all those friggin antennas on the roof? Talk about butt phukin ugly!

What are they gonna stick on the roof next. And those supposed air intakes/rotor coolers? I think they pulled that off a Pontiac or something!

Later,

Chris (ReelWork)

Here is another guy that went to the track and is happy with is 15.2, but he says somthing in his post about if you don't believe it there were 200 people around. I'll just post the link, he says he will get a 14.5 with mods! LOL, I got a 14.4 stock with less than 2k miles on my Harley. These guys are funny, thet claim they didn't buy the truck to race (an excuse for being slow) and then they go to the track.
