Harley's mark their spot...
 

I was wondering, do the Harley's drip a little oil when they are parked?
You see I own a King Ranch 4x4, and a heritage softail (w/various, S&S. etc.). My truck doesn't leak a bit, even after 25k, pretty good for a Ford. The bike leaks just enough to mark it's territory each time it is parked (kinda like my dog, or me for that matter.).
Just wondering, seems like it would be appropriate.

no, fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on your preference, they don't mark their spots...

o yeah, they used special HD designed engine gaskets for these trucks, just so they would specially leak oil to mark their spots :rolleyes:

Same goes for F-H-D! (or any vehicle for that matter).

Phat I'm with Lee on this one....If you're Heritage is leaking then you've got a problem. Evo's and twin cam's don't leak unless there's a problem. Evo's had a history of problems with the base gaskets leaking but get it fixed or it will get worse in short order.

what do you expect phatfarm when you come over here and ask if our HD's leak oil like HD's do? thats a pretty stupid question IMO and only begging for trouble. its got the same friggin engine as any other F150 or L, so its got nothing to do wiht HD cycles leaking oil

Pretty lame when Harley riders piss on each other for what they ride. That's bull *****. I don't give a damn what someone rides, as long as they ride, that's what counts in my book. I'd rather have a friend riding a Honda that knows how to tear it down and build it back up than some putz on an HD who takes it to the shop all the time.

Same with a truck. Stupid arguments in my book. And as far as twins go, my Heritage don't leak a drop, neither does my old Triumph or any of my Jap bikes.

Hey Phat, if you got an itch go scratch it somewhere else. Pleazzzzzzze. All the smack your talking is not called for in here. Hasnt anybody told you that playing tough guy dont work on the internet. Why dont you go down to your local OUTLAWS chapter hall and ask them if there bikes leak. They will gladly answer your question and help you get that monkey off your back that must be bothing you.

I think this the changing of the gaurd, before 2002 most Hd post were about bling. Blinging out your truck would not cause it to blow-up.

Now most post are about performance. And like any higher price sports car or truck, the owners are new to the HP world. Maybe traded in a lexus or something.

5 years ago it was crazy to dyno 400 rwhp In a vette or viper. Now you can do it in a 4-door truck:eek:
