Options

I bought my truck off the lot with just under a 100 mi. and I thought all Harley-Davidson trucks came with the same options.....all 15 sitting there were the same except for color.

After being on this site for a few weeks, it appears that there were different options available. It looks like I have most. I don't have an electric rear slider or rear window defroster (should be standard on the screw!).

I do have Power Moon Roof, Sliding rear window, pickup bed extender, Harley Davidson bed mat, Heated front seats and 6 disc changer. What else was an option? I WANT IT ALL! lol

The 02 trucks did not have the power slider. Unless you want the engine block heater, you do have it all.

Thanks a bunch! I still think they should have been standard on a screw.....who needs a block heater and it's 90 degrees and you're wanting to open the back window going down the freeway. Who makes these decisions at FORD?

The only thing you didn't list in your post was a sliding rear window. The 02 DID have the option for a sliding rear, but it is NOT power.

He did mention a rear slider.

A block heater can come in handy here in Candaa. Mind you I never used the one on my 2000 HD in the two years I had it and I am not sure I have one on my 2002. Gotto check.

yup, there was 6 options for the 01 and 02 screws

moon roof
rear slider (manual)
bed extender
heated seats
6 disc
block heater

the bedmat comes standard in all HD trucks

the 00's only had 3 options

6 disc
rear slider
block heater

i've got all but the block heater, not that i had a choice cuz i bought the truck off the showroom floor, and i don't need a block heater anyway

i'm not totally sure about the 03's but i know they come with heated back glass standard, and the options are moonroof, bed extender, heated seats, block heater, power slider, and i can't remember if the 6 disc IN DASH is standard, or if thats an option over single in dash. i do know they are out of the console though

Now I'll be able to sleep tonight, knowing that I have all the options. I'm a happy camper....for a minute!

I have all the options for my '00 except the block heater. I would trade the blockheater, changer, and sliding glass rear for some seat heaters any day though. That is one of my faviorte options on any vehicle. They keep you warm in the winter and are a fun trick to play on your passenger in the summer.

It was a real easy trick to play in my Disco because the heater controls were on the middle consule so I could hit it at any time and they would not notice. It is pretty funny when the passenger gets out with a huge swass mark. LOL

Actually the bed extender was standard equipment on the 01's at least. I have all my documentation that states that when I ordered it. Only options I didn't get from factory were hitch, heated seats, block heater. Got the roof, changer, and slider.

I put seat heaters in my '00. They were approximately $200 online and I had them installed in both front seats for under $200. I'm sure the factory option was cheaper, but it wasn't offered unfortunately. I wired the switches to the center console between the cup-holder openings. Looks extremely stock. But I don't drive the truck in bad weather and would never even think about subjecting it to salt or snow/ice/sleet etc. So I've used them approximately 3 times on crisp autumn days.

Cool Power Slider

From 1982 to 1996 I owned a glass fabrication business. One of my supply houses was the mfg. of the Power Slider, installed on the Ford. I still have my account with them and can purchase the Power Slider. If anyone is interested please contact me.
A professional glass shop should do the installation.
