Thanks Ken,
The Harley kicks a$$ !!!!!! Change is good sometimes
Yup, the wheels on the Lightning were Timeless 2's. Two of them got completely destroyed in the accident and the other two went with the truck to auction. I did acquire a set of "timeless" wheels though, brand spankin' new in the box. 20" x 9.5"
I'll do a trial fitting on the truck tomorrow and see how it looks. On the Lightning they would have looked awesome but on the longer Harley the thin spoke design might look too wimpy. I dunno.

I'll look forward to those pix... I pulled the trigger on some timeless 2s, but backed out before they went to build cause I decided to go another direction...
Basically, the stock harley wheels are just shy of 50lbs each wich is insane. The stock eagle gtiis are 35.4 each per goodyear.
Going to a set of billet wheels would drop quite a bit a weight from the truck -- 80+ lbs.
Instead I ordered bogart 16x10s and hoosier slicks. They are 10 and 22 pounds respectively. Combined, they are 32 each or 64 for the pair. Harley rims n tires are 160+ for the pair so that is a 100lb drop at the track (a tenth maybe?)... Total price was about a grand. Almost 1/3 cost with an even better weight reduction at the track. *PLUS* I keep Josh happy.
Love to see those pix, though.
Here is another rim for you to consider. I think they look cool... similar to the Harley at almost half the weight:

I am still waiting on my 22’ Boyd’s thanks in part to Rob. I am glad to see someone with Rob’s sense of style become a HD owner. I agree that a 20’ inch wheel looks right at home on a regular cab truck, but with the HD’s bigger size I think a 22’ is about perfect.

Ken,
The timeless wheels that are sitting in my basement weigh in at a whopping 23 lbs. each
That's the main reason I'd swap wheels. Less weight.
outnumbered,
I told the L owners at the Florida site that a Harley-Davidson truck was a Lightning with more hooker room

I didn't realize the timeless were so light. I called boyds and they told me the timeless 2s and 5s weighed in at 31ish pounds. Do you have a postal scale or some other type of scale designed accurate light weights? I am certainly not doubting you...
If they are that light, mabye I need to rethink again... i.e get the lighter wheels AND the slicks...
At 23 each, that is 100lbs of weight lost all the way around...
(sorry josh)
don't do it ken, you've come this far, hold out a little bit longer and spend that mod money on something else
although it would be interesting to see how a set of timeless 2's looked on a HD

Ken,
The scale I used is very accurate. The wheels are featherweights compared to the stock cast wheels. The other plus side to the Boyd's is I can go to a wider tire ( 295/40/ZR20 ) like I had on my Lightning. Not to mention more tire choices.
