H.D. "nerf bars" for a super cab 4x4 99

could one of you guys and gals please tell me what the diameter of these bars are....I would like to mount a set of them on my supercab. and if possible could you tell me what they mount to.........my truck does not see " rough off-road" and i would like a pair of these bars to off-set the factory 17's. i love the look they give. being recessed under the cab instead of sticking out beyound the tires and fenders.......any help would be greatly appreciated.........along with the possibility of a part number if one has that info..........thanx again

hmmm, not totally sure on the diameter, but i could measure it tomorrow if you want. if i were to guess, i'd say 4" diameter? its somewhere around there.

it bolts right up with either 2 or 4 bolts, forget which, but its just 2 brackets, i'll snap pics tomorrow for ya if i remember

as for where to find them...you can get raped by ford, , check the classifieds here, or keep an eye on ebay...goodluck!

no problemo

they are 3" in diameter

here's a pic of the back. they mount to the bottom of the cab. i'm pretty sure its just a bolt up, but not 100% positive. i know other guys have put them on with no problem on nonHD's before though.

hey billp, look at that, even the back of the nurf bar is all nice and polished even the underbody is pretty clean for not getting washed since last july. the frame is another story though, thats like impossible to clean. LoL

hope this helps wyoming!

lol with a 3/4 drop i dont think anyone could crawl under them....i can virtually sit under my f-150. and its still stock height, except for the 285 series rubber on the wheels.....which picked it up a lil less than an inch. now to find the bars. looks like im off to the dealer in the am..... one would think they would not cost so much.........its not like its a special item.......just a set of chromed steel tubing.......again i cant thank you enough.......your a big help.......i just wish i knew how to place a pic of my truck in here to show ya

well, it is actualy a special item cuz its a Harley F150 specific part, so they'll charge an arm and a leg for it

good luck, post when you find out how much they want

Nerf bars on S-Cab

Occassionally, by my work I see a blue Super Cab with the nerf bars...they look pretty sweet. The truck is lifted probably 3 or 4 inches (never really got a close look).

It should be mentioned that these really are only for looks and offer no support as a running board. Manual even tells us not to!

But the chrome looked awesome on the truck I saw!

Well....for now <looking over shoulder......nope wife aint around> i plan on keeping my truck stock height. only cause of her and the baby....But i do have some good news.....a site called Genuinefordparts.com gave me a Part # and a Price of $322.80 for the bars. better than i expected really. i was thinkin more around 600 or so just because of the "Harley" name tag. looks like i will have a set by the end of winter. And i am Aware thats these bars are for "show" only. i dislike the "off-road" nerf bars that are on the market. i think they stick out way too far from the fenders. i have learned to "hop-up" in the truck. thanx for the help ya'll
