If I were you, I wouldn't buy it. Yes this is the first year of the 6.0 Powerstroke diesel. Ford has had a lot of botched vehicle launches in the past 3 or 4 years (Focus, Escape, Aviator had problems, CObras, etc etc etc)

I think its safe to say that there be many recalls when the 2004 F150 is launched (even though I really want one)

Röggi,

You are right about the warranty thing.
We can't get the warranty (3 years,36000 miles) like owners in the USA and Canada can get.
Reason is there are no dealers officially licensed by Ford USA.
However, we got one here in Holland recently.
Non official USA Ford "dealers" give you a 1 year,50,000 km's warranty.

No matter where you are, the manufacturer must give you warranty on a new bought car.
Go talk to your local non USA Ford dealer and talk with them about this warranty thing.
After all Ford USA is the motherconcern.
Otherwise talk to your lawyer if you have one.
IMO You must have warranty on a new bought product.

in my case, Yes if i buy it from the dealer they will give me warranty bot it cost around 15,000 Dollar ( YES I MEAN 15000 $)
more form the dealer than if i inport my self from Halifax Canada.
But the Ford dealer here has to buy the warranty sepperately it is not comming from the Ford motor company,,,,,
Strange world we live in........

Roggi,

Are you part of the Iceland Royal family?
You must be the richest guy in your village
You guys pay a lot of $$ to drive a Ford up there.
Now that I think of it, we pay a lot to drive a Ford down here too.

At least gas is cheap here, that's one good thing.
