Gary, please hang in there with us. We are doing our best to get this advertiser to change this ad and the drug shirt ad altogether. It may take a couple of issues but we hope to get it revised. Thank you for your comments. Tom.

Agreed. Its part of advertising dude. They make money of off the adds that they put there. Its not that serious. Iam surprised that they even replied to your email. Sucks to be flamed with 0 posts huh?:D

if im not mistaken(if its the same ones in truckin mag) that would be a rapper. he is getting paid to sell there product with his image

not trying to turn the tables, but would you put that ad for WHEELS in your TRUCK magazine if it was going to pull in MULTIPLE groups of people who look up to multiple celebs? Some people like rock and rap (mainly ages 15-25). If they see somthing with a rockstar or rap artist on it they look at it. If They see somthing with a ballerina on it they are nowhere near it.

The advitiser is trying to pull in the group (ages 15-25)of people he is targeting.

The magazine is trying to get that group of people to read his magazine ALONG with the readers he allready had.

The person in the pictureis being seen by thousands and inturn promoting his music, AND being paid for it. If somone gave me a few grand i would hold my nuts like that in a picture. Wouldn't you? New lightning? Superduty?

I admit I don't understand the appeal of that "type" of "image". I see no good reason for it to be removed from a magazine. Is it assumed that only "red necks" read a truckin magazine? I think if we were to take a look at the demographics we would see that reader ship would consist of a broad audiance.
Coolonne2 I welcome you to the boards but I think I should mention that not every one here agrees with you on this one. In fact it is my opinion that this is a narrow view. Like I said at the beginning, I don't understand what the look is about. That's just it, I don't understand! I am not offended by things because I don't understand them
We have a lot of great conversations about trucks here. I hope you will join in. Please keep in mind that this is generally a diverse, open minded bunch of people, and to be prepaired to have people dissagree.

If you saw a picture of Catherine Zeta Jones in a skimpy bathing suit standing next to a car with some 23" platinum rims, would you contact them and tell them the picture is inappropriate?

CZJ is a babe !!!!........lol....again . as other have said . i don't agree with the image , but that is my opinion , but as wittom said not only rednecks read truckin mags. the way i see it is it is you choice to buy the mag or not . as far as the add goes your lucky they even responded . i wouldn't of :-)

Ah em, I don' t think they allow nudity in Truckin', if they did I would have used that as an example.
