Any time I go to the chat rooms they appear to be empty. As there are approx 20,000 members I cant see how this can be. After I sign in the message at the bottom of the box reads " warning appalet window. Do I need to download some other software,Am I doing something wrong or is it just simply due to the time zone diference between Scotland and the U.S. (at least 5 hours) that nobody is actualy there.

Any help or suggestions would be greatfully received.

I thought time was the same everywhere
The "Warning applet window" simply informs you that there is an active applet happening and the window you are chatting in will close if you close the window that it was spawned from. Does that make sense? It is more of a piece of info than a warning.

I think the chat room starts to recieve visitors around 8pm EST. If you get there first, you are required to stock the fridge, lay out the munchies ect. If you are the last to leave, you have to clean the place up for next time.

 

Thanks ATST - I don't know how many times I have to wait around in chat till the guys leave so I can turn the lights off & lock up - they always forget! Must be the same gene that rules their mis-use of toilet seats! ROFL! (sorry guys!)
Landshark3 - I am in chat every nite & many of the guys show too - ATST is right about the time we get there. If you're 5 hours ahead then when we start chatting it must be 1 AM your time! Any chance you can stay up late & join us? By the time I get home from work it's after 6PM & I have a few things to do before I log on so I can try to get there earlier but I can't promise anything. Same goes for Sat - I serve the 7PM Mass every week either as Lector or Usher & sometimes I serve at the 4:30 Mass as Eucharistic Minister so I can't get to chat too early - I'm too busy praying for everyone here!
Email me & maybe we can pick a time on Sunday to meet in chat & I'll let the guys know so they can try to come meet you ok? I would love to chat w/you! I think Scotland is a bonnie, prettty country - did I get that right? Hope so!

A lot of nights when I log in, I know that there are a lot of people on logged into the site, because of the list at the bottom of the forums page, and it says that no one is in chat. A couple of nights I left the chatrrom open and on top, and it said I was the only person in there. I think it may be my server or maybe the chat applet, I am not sure. I really intend to chat with y'all again, just as soon as it lets me! Sometimes I sign out and then back in just to see if the connection has gone dead or something, and I usually still get the blank rooms. It will work out, though, I am sure of it.

 

Taking care of the food and the clean up, maybe you can bring your bagpipe with you also and entertain us with some music.

I have visited chat a couple of times but 03.00 am -04.00 am is killing me.
I will check in a couple of times next week at 09.00 (GMT +1) that is 8.00 pm your time I think.


BTW It was awfully quiet at Ibrox stadium last Thursday, all I heared was singing from the Feyenoord supporters.
