Smile Who can't wait for SNOW!!?

Well, I can't. I love it when the first snow flies. Who else on here likes/loves snow. Hopefully I can get some miles racked up on my new MX Z 600! -Matt

Not me!

Believe me - I CAN wait. When the winters last 8 months/year I'm in no hurry to see it start up again!
Here is what I can't figure out though - when you spend 2/3 of the year driving in snow, HOW can you POSSIBLY forget how to drive when it comes back again? Thursday we had some significant snowfall for the first time - about 5" that fell south of me. There were accidents & rollovers the entire day! Even the state troopers said it's because the people forgot how to handle the snow! Come on people - get real! I was born where we hardly had snow, at least not like the way it snows here & I am better at handling the winter than the "natives" are! Just 1 more thing that makes me say "huh?????" about Buffalo winters! LOL!PS - mhussey - I tried sending you email & it came back so I must have it written down incorrectly. Email me ok? Cowlady18@cs.com.

I have had my snow tires on since August because I couldn't find any replacement pirrellis.
I also finally got my deck done, and thomsonized for the winter, so even though I am not looking forward to it, I am as ready as I will ever be.

wanna see the deck I built? It even has a reclined two seater bench with a shelf just big enough to hold a cup of coffee.
Deck
Deck2
Not bad for a female with only half of the use my right arm huh?

btw, I used the measurements of my Truck seat to build the bench part, so I know it would be comfy. LOL

WOW!

You did a fantastic job ATST! You're totally awesome - and then some too!
The deck looks perfect for sitting on while sipping iced tea on a hot summer day. Next year let me know when is a good time & I'll be right there! Hey - get a pool & we can sit & watch the proverbial gorgeous pool boy come over to clean it! Then again, with my luck the pool boy would be out sick & we'd end up with his Dad or something! LOL!

Oh my!

Gee Dennis - too bad you don't have a longer name then like Beauregard! LOL! Naw - it might cause severe frostbite if the name were too long I suppose!

Andthensometoo:

Well, I really like your deck.
It seems just the "right" size. Very comfy.

Thanks, I knew if I made it like my Truck seat it would be perfect.

Cowlady,
heh, heh, longer name huh?

Funny you mention the pool boy. My phone line kept going out (and comming back on by the time the phone guy got here) so much that the phone guys were starting to eye me funny and one even gave me his cell phone #. I kept telling them that it only did that when it was windy or raining out, but they didn't believe me.
The last time it did, I called and said "Look this is not some woman in need of attention, it really doesn't work, even though it indicates it is busy, and the next guy that comes out better fix it!" They started with the "must be something with all your computer equipment ect" and I said "I'll tell you what I'm gonna disconnect the line from the house to prove it is on your end, and then run a completely new line from the box so when you come and fix it, you can't say it's me." I then disconnected it and called them back, sure enough their equipment said it was 'busy'
Oh and the guy that did finally fix it could have been my Dad.

Unhappy Can't wait

Unfortunately, I moved from western NY to the midwest where I'm told doesn't get much snow. Boo Hoo. And cowlady, I'm a native and never forget how to drive in the snow. I almost gaurantee that most of those accidents were caused by old folks going too slow for traffic around them or by some jerk kids trying to show off to their friends. I need to get back home for some good ole lake effect snow to start flying. Can't wait for thanksgiving!!!

Wait for snow? Who needs to wait? We've already had measureable snow three times at our cabin now - an inch on the first weekend of october, 3-4 inches a week and a half or so ago, and over 6 inches on thursday. Of course it should all melt by tomorrow, but still, who needs to wait!!!

Smile Thanks Wild Child...

Thanks for the compliment. Already have the sled, took it out on the grass and she sure is peppy for a 600. Not to mention the 192 Woody's help out with hook up allowing the skis to lift! I hope it will hook up this way on the snow.

Gopher-

must be nice to see snow already around. I drove up Sugarloaf Mtn. (4237 ft) last week and the summit was covered in snow. That's all the snow I've seen around here so far, last October 28th, we had 6-7" fall!

For those that hate snow, don't comment. I did not ask who CAN wait for snow!
