Neighbor's Cats Vs. Freshly Waxed F-150
I need some ideas. I just waxed my truck the other day and I came out the next morning and the neighbor's cats had camped out on my hood all night. We are talking hair, sand, and when they jumped on the hood they apparently started sliding and tried to dig in with their claws. Needless to say I was seriously hacked off.
I need some ideas on how to keep them off of my ride. I wanted to bust out of the door with the ole' 870 Express but I couldn't do that to the little girl next door plus my wife vetoed that too. Is their anything that I can put out that will keep the cats away from my carport? Has anyone else had this problem?
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jamie

I think the water gun idea is the most feasible.(being inside the city limits the coppers kind of frown on gun fire). I wonder if I fill it with tuna juice and spray him down that when he gets around his buddies they will tear him to pieces? Hmmmmm. I wonder.
I have the same problem with the cats on the truck. I have tried the BB gun and it did not work, they even pee on the truck.
My new idea is to be nice to the cats and grab them and take them away from the neighberhood, maybe 10 miles and let them loose. The next door neighbor lets the cats live out side and they could be considered almost wilded. I have about 5 cats to get rid of. I have read several posts on this topic and I have even tried moth ***** ( cats are suposed to hat them) and it did nothing.

I remember about a year ago there was a post just about like this one. There were some good ideas in there if I remember right. It might be worth your while to do a search on the site and try to find that post to see what they were.
I read somewhere that cayane pepper sprinkled on the hood will repel cats ... and it will blow off when you drive it next. It might take a few times for the cat to learn not to lay on the hood though .

There are a few suggestions in this thread on another forum.
