Making the ABS controller stand alone

I've been thinking of doing a frame swap. I want to put a dent side f100/150 short bed on a 2002-2010 explorer frame. The bump sides (67-72), dent sides (73-79) slab sides (80-?) and notch sides (?-96) all share the same wheelbase for the regular cab short bed, 117" and the third gen explorer (02-05) and fourth gen (06-10) all have a 113.75" WB and all have 4 wheel independent suspension, 4 wheel discs, rack and pinion steering, abs brakes, and a fully boxed frame. Also the rear axle center section is an 8.8. It would be better than doing a crown vic ifs swap and your still stuck with a weak c channel frame and leaf spring rear suspension. Another thing is they had an available v-8 which was a 4.6 so a coyote is a direct bolt in. The concern I have is I would like to keep the factory abs but don't know if It will work as a stand alone unit. The only part I want from the explorer is the rolling frame with the abs intact if possible. I would scrap or sell the engine/trans/transfer case and the entire body.

They came as 2wd, 4x4 and awd models and the 06-10 frame is stronger and lighter than the 02-05 was, and the short lived lincoln aviator (03-05) has a 302 hp 4.6 32v that it shares with the mach 1 and marauder and factory air ride.
