How can I get a USA flag flown in combat to honor a loved one who fought bravely?

Hi, a family member fought in Vietnam saving many soldiers but was never honored. Many of his men were honored but some how he slipped through the cracks yet they've all said he saveed him. Paul has now passed but I know a flag flown in combat would be an honor and my Auntie would feel pride, joy and peace. If there is a way to get a flag I would be happy to pay for it but I don't know how to make it happen.

Thanks,
Debbie

I don't know the answer, but perhaps you could ask at your local VFW or American Legion?

Another place to try is your Congressman's or Senator's office.

There isn't an official program, so you have to find a personal connection with someone over there. My son sent us a couple during his last trip to the Sand Box. You buy the flag and pilots take them along on a mission.
