F150online Site Activity

I will admit, I do not frequent the site as much as I used to, so my observation may be skewed, but has site activity decreased? I see quite a bit of unanswered post, and forum sections where topics are weeks old still near the top without updates...

Probably somewhat. I blame it on the difficulty for owners of newer trucks to do their own repairs, but that's just a guess on my part.

We ARE a much more "civilized" forum now, so perhaps losing some of the more "wild" elements has decreased interest. Glad you're still checking in.

I think your reasoning of owners ability to service vehicles holds true. What is it now two sensors and 10 feet of wire to every 10mm bolt Hope you guys are doing well.

Id say the reason is all the Facebook Groups that are out there for these trucks. Thousands of people per group, ask a question and you have 30 replies within 10 mins or so.

That's becoming true for all kinds of forums. My PC forum is a lot slower than it used to be.

I also think there is something to the fact that the trucks are "better" than they used to be.

10 years ago, people were interested in Efans, bigger wheels, more power ETC, the newer trucks come factory with all that and are more capable, quieter etc......

I'm new here and check in almost everyday , online forums of all kinds are decreasing due to Facebook and Youtube. you can find almost anything on YouTube today for repairs and how to's. I developed, owned and operated 3 very successful online forums all in the past at one time. One for online gaming (PlayStation) one for reptiles and another for a Mustang Club, all have vanished because its easier to use Facebook. Its just the way technology is turning.

The biggest talk in the f150 is the ecoboost engine. site dosent even have a section. the ecoboost is in the same catagory as as a 1997 v-6

There are vendor pop-ups on the screen that are dead with companies that havent operated in 2 or 3 years.

Las Vegas shooting, Football, baseball, hunting season......little to no conversation, no chat.

other sites are down, but not like this one, also considering how big it was at one time.

Its a bummer, as other stated there are many other information resources, but this site always seemed more "personal". The ability to ask very detailed questions and get responses from people with first hand knowledge/experience is nice. Especially when it comes to troubleshooting, changing a part is one thing (youtube), identifying the issue is another.

The Cubs won the Series and Trump was elected President and nothing was said in GD.
